A Wish for You

Share
Tired of the same old wedding guestbook?

How about making it a bit more FUN and interactive?? Some great ideas are having Wish Trees or Wish Jars. Your guests can write a little blurb and drop it in the jar or hang it on the tree at your wedding reception.

Having a photo booth allows your guests to place a copy of their photo in your guestbook and write a little blurb. It’s a great way to remember all your guests who celebrated your special day with you! (Having photo booth pictures reminds me of my earlier dating years)

How about something out of the ordinary? A Wooden Guestbook!

Centerpiece Ideas

Centerpieces complete the table setting at your wedding reception. Whether you want flowers, candles, or a little something different… don’t leave the center empty!!

RULE OF THUMB:
1. Tall Centerpieces – should be above the person’s head when seated
2. Short Centerpieces – should be below the person’s neck when seated

House or Honeymoon?

Share
First comes love…
Then comes marriage…
THEN … a HOUSE or HONEYMOON?
(baby carriage later on…)

Getting married is one of the biggest stepping stones in life and can cost you a pretty penny. Then comes the accomplishment of purchasing your first home together. (10-20% down payment; e.g. $500,000 home = $50,000 down payment at 10%)

Wedding: $20,000 and up (excluding destination weddings)
Down Payment: $50,000 and up
Expenses: $70,000 and up

Some couples are choosing to bypass the honeymoon and place a down payment for a house instead. Couples are opting to have their wedding guests contribute to the down payment for their home by having a Home Registry, instead of a traditional registry or donations made to charities.

HomefortheHoneymoon.com has just launched their home registry website allowing couples to collect money for a down payment on a house. The first registry of it’s kind in Canada.

NOTE: Registries SHOULD NOT be included in your wedding invitations or listed on your wedding website. The only proper way to inform your guests is by word of mouth. That’s what your bridal party is for!!
